Treat Bag

Even after so many years, there are still lots of projects to inspire us and find our inner creative spark. Having purchased some pieces of Halloween fabrics last fall, I looked forward to making something for my grandchildren. They looked adorable in their costumes and loved their new colourful treat bags.

 

[After getting the opportunity to blog again, I'm just posting this from last fall; hence, the out of season topic.]

 

I found a great free pattern for treat bags and had time to make three colourful bags for them to collect their Halloween candy. Sewing for Children

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve made clothing, and lately I’ve been thinking about it. My granddaughter asked her mom if Ama made ‘people clothes’ as all she’s seen are the quilts I’ve made. 
 

I have several really nice patterns that I obviously didn’t ever have the time/ambition to make when I bought them. But now, that I have more time and the desire to get back into adding sewing back into the mix, I also wanted to replace my shirt pattern for boys.
 

And on that thought, when I came upon this link last week in a newsletter I receive; I was intrigued. I was really delighted when I checked this site out and found out I was just in time to get a 25% discount. Yippeee!! This was great because it meant I didn’t have to plan a trip into town and browse through the pattern books. And, I downloaded them a few minutes later.

I look forward to printing these out and finding suitable fabrics in my stash to make some for my sweet grandson. This is the first time I’ve bought clothing patterns in pdf format, which I think is really neat because there was no waiting to receive them in the mail.

Just thought I’d share that with you all, in case there was anyone that would be interested in checking them out. What I really like about these patterns was the size range is 5-14; allowing me time to make the patterns in a variety of sizes.
